GLASGOW'S HOGMANAY – THE BEST YET

Glasgow’s Hogmanay – organised by Glasgow City Council with Radio Clyde – promises to be the best yet.

The headline act is The Proclaimers, a band that have enjoyed world-wide recognition and success during their fifteen years in the music industry and have released their fifth album ‘Born Innocent’ in September. Their best known hits ‘Letter from America’, ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)’ and ‘I’m on My Way’ are sure to delight the crowd during their performance at Glasgow’s Hogmanay.

Glasgow’s Hogmanay will be centred solely in George Square where up to 25,000 revellers are expected to party into 2004.

The party atmosphere starts at 9.00pm on Wednesday 31 December until 1.30am with Radio Clyde presenters introducing a superb night of top quality entertainment. Glasgow pop band Speedway, one of the hottest new bands in the country, are joined on the night by Simone Welsh, a violinist and vocalist and special guests. At midnight the New Year will be marked by a special midnight moment.
